Submitting Articles to OutdoorAdept

Blog writers desk. It has a laptop, mug, notepad and phone on it.

Thousands of people visit OutdoorAdept every single month. Mostly seeking answers to questions regarding their outdoor sport or activity. If you have knowledge that could be useful or entertaining for our visitors, we would love to publish your content.

There are some criteria to be met though, so please carefully read these instructions before sending in your application!

What Types of Articles Do We Seek?

We ask that posts submitted be unique and original. Please don’t send us content that can already be found elsewhere, nor anything generated by AI. Basically, we are looking for real and new information for our readers.

Examples:

  • Advice to improve the overall experience of any outdoor activity.
  • Guides for specific trails or regions people might explore.
  • Experiences you’ve had doing certain outdoor activities. These must be interesting or entertaining to read though. Not just any experience.
  • Something outdoor related that you’ve researched in-depth. For these, please include your data/sources in the submission.

The Article Submission Standards We Seek

To maintain our high standard for our readers we expect submissions to be well-written and entertaining. If you submit articles with advice or guides, please include a bio that confirms your expertise.

For submissions that are about personal experiences we are less strict considering the writing quality. Our editor may reach out to help improve the details of the article, granted the story itself is good enough. On the contrary, we do appreciate pictures that relate to the story.

The minimal length of articles is 700 words. If you have something smaller to share you can always use the comment section below existing articles.

Send us your idea of the article or a sample article to info@outdooradept.com to apply. Please make sure to start the subject with “1106”. Without this it will not be reviewed.

Our editor reviews all submissions and may edit at their discretion. You agree to this by submitting your articles.

Acknowledgement

Articles that are accepted will be published under your name, unless you prefer to remain anonymous. You may also submit a link that we can refer to in your article. If the article is good, we feel it’s only natural to inform our audience where they can find more of your work.

We appreciate your interest in doing a contribution to OutdoorAdept and look forward to hearing from you!
